In an address to the 4th Vietnam Economic Forum on June 5, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Vietnam does not have a closed economy and insists on innovation, opening up, and building economic independence and self-reliance associated with extensive, substantive, and effective international integration. Domestic and foreign enterprises have both become key in building an autonomous and integrated economy. He also touched on the need to have a healthy and safe environment to support businesses in their development process.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, technological autonomy and building a domestic market for sustainable development are two key contents of the 4th Vietnam Economic Forum, to be organized by the Commission on June 5 in Ho Chi Minh City. The forum will include three seminars, on developing a stable labor supply chain post Covid-19; developing the capital market and the real estate market; and technological innovation, digital transformation, and supply chain diversification.
