The Ministry of Construction has held a conference appraising adjustments to the master plan for Hai Duong city in the northern province of the same name to 2040. The master plan aims to develop Hai Duong using new development trends in the context of international integration and globalization, exploit and bring into full play its potential and advantages in geographic location, culture, and human resources for rapid and sustainable development, turn it into a green, smart city, and reach the criteria for becoming a Class 1 urban area.
Northern Bac Ninh province will invest in the construction of Kenh Vang Bridge connecting it with Hai Duong province at a cost of more than VND1.7 trillion ($71 million). This is a major project that links the economy and society of both and meets needs
The Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee has issued Decision No. 2093/QD-UBND approving additions to land use plans in districts, towns, and cities in 2022. Eighty-three projects with a total area of nearly 282 ha have been added.
The Kim Thanh District People’s Committee in northern Hai Duong province has officially kicked off the East - West Road project (phase 1) in the district. The project has a length of nearly 15 km with total investment of VND1.5 trillion ($64 million) from the local budget. Northern Hai Duong province kicked off construction of three investment projects on April 3: an East-West road with a length of 36.5 km, and two intersections on the Hanoi - Hai Phong Highway, with total investment of more than VND2.1 trillion ($92.84 million). The three projects will strengthen links between Hai Duong and Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and neighboring provinces.
The Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee has decided to establish two new industrial clusters, including Tu Cuong industrial cluster on an area of 41.5 ha, and Tu Cuong - Chi Lang Bac industrial cluster on 75 ha. Tu Cuong - Chi Lang Bac is an ecological, green, clean, and synchronous industrial cluster in terms of technical infrastructure and meets environmental standards.
At a cooperation conference between Hai Phong city and Hai Duong and Quang Ninh provinces in the 2022-2025 period, held on March 13, the three northern localities agreed to continue to focus on investing in transport infrastructure and to closely link the economic triangle of the Northern Key Economic Region with the rest of the country.
