The new bridge, which will be located in northern Phu Tho province's Tam Nong and Lam Thao districts, is expected to be completed in December, 2025.

The bridge is open for traffic daily from 6 am to 10 pm, starting from September 30.

The new bridge is expected to be 430 m long, 21.5 m wide, and cost a total of VND865 billion ($35 million) from the State budget

At a working session with the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee on September 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the province needs to work to become a developed province in Vietnam’s north. He proposed that it accelerate its economic restructuring associated with innovating its growth model towards gradually increasing the proportion of industry, construction, and services, and prioritizing digital transformation, green transformation, and the circular economy.

Northern Phu Tho province is seeking investors for two projects - the eco-City Yen Lap urban housing area and the Chau Phong urban housing area - which have a total area of more than 58 ha and investment of nearly VND3 trillion ($131.78 million).
