To implement Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2022 from the Politburo, the Standing Board of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee has issued an action plan on urban planning, construction, management, and development to 2030 and vision to 2045, which includes developing Hoi An ancient town into a specific urban area. The central province is striving for an urbanization rate of 37 per cent by 2025 and 40 per cent by 2030.
On the afternoon of June 30, at the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission, a meeting of the Steering Committee for the formulation of a project summarizing ten years of implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW, dated December 9, 2011 from the Politburo was held on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese businesspeople in the period of rising industrialization, modernization, and international integration.
At a scientific seminar entitled “Linking the development of key economic regions in the new context” on July 1, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Member of the Politburo and Head of the Central Economic Committee, said the gathering was of great significance in helping the Steering Committee summarize Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW and complete the scheme and propose to the Politburo new guidelines for the socio-economic development of the north-central and central coastal regions and the Central Key Economic Zone.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong signed and promulgated a Resolution from the Politburo on May 5 regarding directions and tasks to develop Hanoi to 2030 with a vision to 2045. By 2045, Vietnam’s capital will be a globally-connected city with a high standard of living and quality of life, post per capita gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of over $36,000, and experience a level of development on par with capitals in developed countries in the region and the world.
