Cacao farming has gained renewed popularity among farmers in Vietnam’s central highlands region and further south as prices and earnings continue to rise and the benefits of circular economy practices become evident.
Mr. Hiroshi Funaki, Chairman of Vietnam Holding Limited, said that despite the gloomy prospects for the global economy, Vietnam is considered an attractive investment destination with positive growth prospects. Several banks have recently raised their 2022 growth forecasts to nearly 7 per cent. Inflation, meanwhile, is predicted to reach 3.5-4.0 per cent for the year.
The positive long-term outlook for Vietnam’s stock market has begun to show signs of triggering cash flows from actively disbursing funds. According to SSI Research, in August, cash flows from funds were more active and more evenly disbursed, with net buying of VND260 billion ($11 million). The number of funds actively net buying increased, while the level of net withdrawal by some funds has fallen gradually.
