11M rubber exports fetch $2.95 bln
China remains the biggest rubber export market of Vietnam.
Vietnam exported 1.8 million tons of rubber in the first 11 months of the year, earning $2.95 billion, figures from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development show.
The figures represent a year-on-year reduction of 6% in volume, but an increase of 17.1% in value.
In November alone, rubber export reached 220,000 tons, worth $424.3 million.
China remained the biggest rubber export market of Vietnam during the 11-month period, accounting for 67.6% of the total. In 2023, Vietnam exported 1.7 million tons of the product to China, fetching $2.27 billion.
The EU is also an important market of Vietnamese rubber. In 2023, rubber exports to this market earned nearly $470 million.
