70% of users within 5G zones have wwitched

After nearly two months of 5G service being officially commercialized in Vietnam, 70% of subscribers within Viettel's 5G coverage areas are now using 5G, according to the latest information from Viettel Telecom.

According to the company,  the number of 5G subscribers reached 3 million,  just two weeks after launching. Currently, 70% of subscribers within Viettel's 5G coverage area have used 5G (equivalent to four million customers).

Internet traffic on 5G has already accounted for 30% in deployment areas, indicating the strong appeal and potential of 5G in Vietnam.

Viettel's 5G network speeds can reach 700Mbps-1Gbps, 10 times faster than 4G, with near-zero latency.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Tinh, Deputy General Director of Viettel Telecom, said that Viettel is continuing to expand its 5G coverage to meet the demand for enhanced service experiences for customers, reaching district centers by 2025.
