Ben Tre Import-Export JSC honors long-term employees with gold coins
Leading coconut company presents gold coins at year-end to employees celebrating five-year milestones.
Not only presenting a Tet bonus, one Ben Tre business has also rewarded its long-term employees with more than 200 gold coins and hundreds of millions of valuable gifts in total at the end of the lunar year.
To comply with Covid-19 prevention measures, for the first time, more than 800 staff and workers at the Ben Tre Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Betrimex) attended the year-end event online. Many members of the Board of Directors also attended from the bridgeheads of Australia, the US, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The highlight of the event was service award celebrations for nearly 200 employees working at the company from five to 20 years. Every time a five-year milestone is reached, employees are presented a gold coin. Many staff will soon reach their 25th anniversary with the company.
“I have worked at Betrimex for 24 years - my whole working life,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Team Leader in Coconut Procurement. “I will continue to work here until I can’t do it anymore, and won’t work anywhere else.”
“One gold coin is not much, but it is an expression of our gratitude and commitment to taking care of long-term employees,” said a representative from Betrimex’s Human Resources Management Department. “In addition to ensuring their income, this is also an asset that will increase in value after many years of dedication. This policy not only attracts and retains current talent but also future generations to the company.” Since the program was introduced, nearly 1,000 gold coins have been presented to employees.
Ms. Loan, a designer in the Marketing Department, is the second generation of her family to work at Betrimex. She said she feels proud and touched to be able to work where her parents once worked.
At a time when many companies have had to cut their payroll due to Covid-19, not many local manufacturing companies can still attract international consumer demand and ensure jobs. Its human resources are testament to the vision, strategy, and strong culture of Betrimex as well as the unity of all its employees in overcoming challenges.
