Border gates with China in Lao Cai province to fully reopen

Preparations being made to maintain smooth import-export and entry-exit activities.

Border gates and tracks between Vietnam and China in northern Lao Cai province will resume official operations from January 8, according to the Management Board of the Lao Cai Economic Zone.

The Chinese side said it will re-open its border for people, vehicles, and goods at the railway border gate on the Nanxi River, the road border gate on the Red River, the Kim Thanh II International Border Gate, and the Lao Cai International Border Gate.

The Management Board has sent notices to relevant agencies and businesses on the resumption while preparing the necessary conditions to maintain smooth import-export and entry-exit activities in line with regulations.
