Can Tho to build technology trading floor

The Can Tho City People’s Committee approved the construction of a technology trading floor on August 22.

The project has investment of nearly VND30 billion ($1.31 million) from the Mekong Delta city’s budget. The floor will act as a co-working space and a venue for activities supporting innovative startups in Can Tho. There will also be exhibitions on new tech products, technological equipment processes, and technology transfer, and the floor will also support the formation of science and technology enterprises and new products with added value that quickly bring research results into production and business to sustainably develop Can Tho city and the Mekong Delta as a whole.

The project’s goal is to strengthen technology transfer and links between supply and demand, while promoting the science and technology market, serving the investment needs of enterprises through supporting technology transactions. It will also contribute to promoting the commercialization of products and technological development, supporting startups as well as contributing to innovation in Can Tho city. The project will be implemented in My Khanh commune, Phong Dien district, during the 2021-2024 period.

The People’s Committee also assigned the Department of Science and Technology to organize project implementation in accordance with regulations and select a project consulting unit in accordance with the Law on Bidding and the decree guiding the implementation of the law and contractor selection.
