Chan May - Lang Co EZ envisioned to become ideal investment destination

The Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone (EZ) in central Thua-Thien Hue province is expected to develop into a dynamic zone with high competitiveness in investment attraction under the adjustment of its development planning.

The Ministry of Construction has recently held a conference to appraise the adjustment of the development planning to 2045. 

The adjustment is aimed at promoting the EZ’s attraction to industry, technology, tourism and services as well as urban development.

The planning also targets to create attractive investment environment with rapid access to products and services from the region and the world.

The EZ is envisioned to become a national and international transport hub and important maritime gateway providing deep-water seaport services and product coordination for the key economic area of the central region and the East-West corridor.

It is also expected to develop into a major and modern trade exchange center domestically and globally.

The EZ will give priority to clean and high-technology industries.

The EZ covers a total area of 27,108 hectares in a favorable location with a natural deep-water port and a system of lagoons and bays along with convenient access.

The provincial People’s Committee said the adjustment of the planning is necessary to meet real development and investment attraction demand.
