Da Nang's 2024 GRDP projected to grow 7.51%
The city ranking second among the five centrally-run cities in term of growth.
Central Da Nang city’s 2024 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is projected to grow 7.51% compared to last year, ranking second among the five centrally-run cities, according to the municipal authorities.
The third quarter witnessed an increase of 9%, and the fourth quarter enjoyed a rise of 10.18%.
Several key economic sectors posted significant growth, especially the service and tourism sector. The number of foreign tourists to the city increased by more than 2.1 times compared to 2023 and exceeded nearly 30% compared to 2019. The industry and construction sector also developed rapidly.
The construction progress of some driving force and key projects in the city have been accelerated. The city completed 27 out of 40 projects in 2024 and started construction of 27 out of 38 new projects, contributing to boosting the city’s socio-economic growth.
