Dak Lak plans to build road connecting expressway
Total investment estimated at $55 million.
Central Highlands Dak Lak province plans to invest over VND1.4 trillion ($55 million) in building a road connecting Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot expressway to the East-West road.
The 5-km project is scheduled for construction in 2024-2027 periods.
It will help to connect inter-regional traffic axes, including the North-South Expressway, the National Highway No.27 and the East-West road with Buon Ma Thuot airport in the province's capital.
It is also expected to contribute to linking economic centers, economic zones and key industrial parks and effectively exploiting logistics services to promote socio-economic development and attract investment for the region.
The Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway links coastal Khanh Hoa province in South Central Vietnam and Buon Ma Thuot city in Dak Lak province. The 117.5-km link is designed to have four lanes, with total investment estimated at nearly VND22 trillion ($866 million).
The East-West road in Buon Ma Thuot city was open to traffic in 2023. Construction of the 6.9-km road started in September 2015 with a total cost of over VND1.2 trillion ($47.2 million).
