Dong Nai greenlights major infrastructure projects
The total investment for these projects is estimated at approximately VND80 trillion (around $3 billion).

The Party Committee of the southern province of Đồng Nai has officially approved the investment policy for three key transport infrastructure projects, with total investment capital estimated at approximately VND80 trillion (around $3 billion).
The project aim at enhancing regional connectivity and supporting long-term urban, industrial, and logistics development in the province.
The Ma Da Bridge project, which will connect Dong Nai and neighboring Binh Phuoc province, is set to be implemented in phase 1 with a cross-section width of 20.5 m, accommodating four lanes. The bridge approaches will have a roadbed width of 30 m, also with four lanes. The total estimated investment capital for phase 1 is VND193 billion (around $7.4 million).
Meanwhile, the elevated road project along National Highway 51 is proposed to run from Vung Tau intersection to the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. This project will be implemented under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, specifically through a build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract. The total estimated investment capital exceeds VND14.7 trillion (nearly $563 million).
The third project that will expand Ho Chị Mình City's Metro Line 1 from Suoi Tien station to Dong Nai's new provincial administrative center, Bien Hoa city center, and Long Thành Airport, spans approximately 38.5 km and will be developed in three sections.
The total estimated investment for this project exceeds VND67.4 trillion (over $2.58 billion), with funding sourced from a mix of central Government support, provincial budget allocations, BOT mobilization, and land fund exploitation.
The simultaneous implementation of these three transformative projects is expected to create a breakthrough in transport infrastructure, strengthening regional connectivity, boosting international integration, and driving economic growth in the Southeast region.
