Draft revised land law receives substantial feedback
Feedback on draft comes from all 63 cities and provinces.
The draft Land Law (amended) had received nearly 8,000 comments from individuals and organizations as of March 13, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Collecting feedback on the draft law has been rolled out in all 63 cities and provinces.
Opinions focused on issues such as land acquisition and compensation, support, and resettlement policies; land taxes; the management and use of land types; land allocation, land lease, and the change of land use purpose; land fund development; and land registration, certification, and administrative procedures, among others.
The ministry plans to complete the draft based on opinions before March 27.
A draft report on the feedback will be forwarded to the government prior to April 1 and then submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee before April 5 for comment.
The draft is scheduled to be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration before April 25.
The ministry said the implementation of the 2013 Land Law has recorded positive results but also revealed certain shortcomings and limitations, with revisions needed to meet Vietnam’s socio-economic development needs.
