Electronic tax payment service provided widely

Some 99% of enterprises have registered to use the electronic tax payment services with tax agencies, according to the tax industry.

In the 2021-2023 period, the number of electronic tax payment transactions increased 10% annually.

In 2023, enterprises paid their taxes worth over VND866.4 trillion ($34 billion) and over $4.8 million.

The Ministry of Finance directed the General Department of Taxation, the General Department of Vietnam Customs and the State Treasury to take measures to promote cashless payment in recent years, according to Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc.

To facilitate tax payment, tax agencies have connected with 57 commercial banks and branches for foreign banks in Vietnam to provide electronic tax payment services.
