Exports of phone and accessories hit $34.8 bln as of August 15
Key export markets include China, the US, EU, South Korea and India.
Total export revenue of Vietnamese phones and accessories reached $34.8 billion this year, as of August 15, marking a significant increase of 11.1% compared to the same period last year, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show.
This group of products rank second in terms of value among export products of Vietnam, accounting for 14.24% of the country’s total export turnover in the period.
Key export markets of phones and accessories include China with $7.4 billion, up 1.1% year-on-year; the US $6.49 billion, 31.9%; the EU $5.06 billion, 2.2%; South Korea $2.18 billion, 7.2%; and UAE $2.01 billion, 68.7%.
Particularly, export to India skyrocketed 102% to reach $1.15 billion.
The bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and India during the reviewed period edged up 4.5% against the same period from last year, to nearly $8.67 billion. Of the figure, Vietnamese export turnover to India stood at $5.37 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%.
