First Vietnamese fruit festival set to open in China
The festival scheduled to open in Beijing on September 29-30.
The first fruit festival introducing delicious and nutritious tropical fruits of Vietnam is scheduled to be held in Beijing, China from September 29 - 30.
The event is expected to attract the participation of major fruit businesses of Vietnam and agricultural associations, importers and suppliers of China.
It will be co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
On the sidelines of the festival will be trade exchange activities between Vietnamese businesses and Chinese importers and distributors and a dialogue on export potential of Vietnamese fruits.
Vietnam’s export revenue of fruit and vegetable reached $4.58 billion in the first eight months of the year, rising 29.1% year-on-year. Of which, exports to China earned $2.93 billion, accounting for 64% of the total.
