Gov't urges early opening of second facilities of Bach Mai, Viet Duc hospitals by Nov 30

The Government has directed the Ministry of Health, investors, contractors, and related units to maximize manpower and resources to expedite the completion of the Bach Mai and Viet Duc hospitals in northern Ha Nam province, aiming for official opening by November 30, according to Notice No.57/TB-VPCP, dated February 24, from the Government Office.

The notice announced Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long's conclusions during his visit and inspection of the projects to construct the second facilities of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital in Ha Nam.

Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister concurred with the Ministry of Health and other relevant ministries and agencies on the urgent implementation of the Government’s Resolution No 34/NQ-CP on overcoming difficulties, resolving long-standing issues, restoring the projects, and preventing the waste of state assets and capital.

The successful completion and commissioning of these projects by 2025, as directed by the Government and the Prime Minister, will require significant effort, decisive action, high determination, and close coordination among the Ministry of Health, investors, contractors, and relevant ministries and agencies.

These projects must be urgently put into use to enhance healthcare services, prevent waste, reduce hospital overcrowding, particularly in specialized hospitals, and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for the public.
