Hanoi generates over 164,000 jobs for workers in 8M
The city paying attention to vocational training to improve workers' skills.
Hanoi created jobs for 164,093 workers in the first eight months of this year, fulfilling 99.4% of its annual plan, according to the municipal Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
In August alone, 18,280 workers were employed.
The city’s Employment Service Center organized 23 job transaction sessions in August with 11,962 positions in demand job list from 695 participating agencies and businesses. Of the total job seekers, 1,672 were employed.
The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said the city has paid great attention to vocational training and job generation for workers.
In September, the city will continue implementing measures to create more jobs for workers, including enhancing the connection between vocational training establishments, job fairs and innovation and startup centers as well as support learners to find jobs after graduation, according to the department.
