The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and local enterprises have increased supply of essential goods to meet people’s demand during the upcoming Lunar New Year festival (Tet).
The increase is driven by the needs of more than 11.5 million people in the capital city, according to the department.
To ensure a steady supply, the department has implemented various measures and recommended that businesses source additional supplies from provinces across the country. Furthermore, efforts will be made to boost the sales of Vietnamese goods during the holiday period.
Businesses have increased their stock by 5-20%, depending on each type of products.
Products for Tet are available at the city’s 30 commercial centers, 131 supermarkets, 455 traditional markets, 2,000 convenience stores, 1,327 grocery stores, and tens of thousands of food shops in districts and towns.
