Hyosung Vietnam to build carbon fiber factory in Ba Ria-Vung Tau
Investment in new facility in southern province estimated at $1 billion.
Hyosung Vietnam has revealed plans to invest $1 billion in building a carbon fiber factory in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the province’s online newspaper has reported.
At a recent working session with provincial authorities, representatives from Hyosung Vietnam proposed the province provide guidance on completing procedures to apply for investment approval.
The project will be located at the Phu My 2 Industrial Park, with initial investment of $160 million in the first phase, according to the company representatives.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tho said the province will help the company get the project underway shortly.
Hyosung Vietnam has invested around $3.5 billion in different localities around Vietnam.
