Japanese investors eye Vietnam at investment seminar

Japanese businesses acknowledged the effectiveness of Vietnam's investment attraction policies which are significantly contributing to the country's economic growth.

A seminar promoting investment in Vietnam was held in Tokyo on November 18, attracting the attention of hundreds of Japanese businesses considering investment opportunities in Vietnam, reported the Voice of Vietnam.

The seminar aimed to boost investment flows from Japan to Vietnam, drawing participation from over 100 Japanese companies, including both current investors and newcomers seeking business opportunities.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh, Consul of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, highlighted the importance and effectiveness of Vietnam-Japan economic cooperation, commending Japanese investors for their significant contributions to Vietnam's development.

He outlined Vietnam's current investment attraction policies, which prioritize sectors such as science and technology, innovation, research and development, electronic components, automobiles, electric vehicles, semiconductor manufacturing, new energy, renewable energy, biotechnology, and healthcare.

These sectors align with Japan's strengths and Vietnam's needs, creating opportunities for sustainable investment cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Hiroshi Imano Hiroshi, Vice President at Thk Co Ltd., praised Vietnam's growth potential, noting that Thk Co Ltd. experienced Vietnam's appeal since it began investing over a decade ago.

He emphasized the substantial investments by companies from China, South Korea, and Japan in Hanoi, citing Vietnam's advantageous development potential compared to other countries in the region.
