Localities required to strengthen construction management
Violators will be strictly punished, according to the Construction Ministry.
The Ministry of Construction (MoC) has asked authorities of localities to enhance management over construction investment activities.
The ministry reported that some projects have recently been found to violate construction management regulations such as building without a granted permit, building without following a permitted design and putting buildings into use before being examined and appraised by authorized construction agencies.
The ministry proposed to strictly punish violators, particularly illegal construction.
Localities were advised to increase information dissemination about the Construction Law and related regulations; and to accelerate inspection to detect violations in a timely manner.
They were instructed to review and find legal obstacles to report to the ministry for amendments and supplements, if necessary.
