Nam Dinh targets annual growth of 9.5% in 2021-2030
Northern province posted a record 10.19% economic growth in 2023 and targets becoming a major center in the Red River Delta under recently-approved master plan.
Northern Nam Dinh province targets recording average annual economic growth of 9.5 per cent during the 2021-2030 period.
Under the provincial master plan for the period with a vision to 2050, which was announced by provincial authorities on March 6, it will work to develop into an important development center in the southern reaches of the Red River Delta. The plan has been approved by the Prime Minister, with Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha handing his decision over to local authorities on the same day.
Economic development will focus on industry, services, and the sea-based economy.
By 2050, the province is envisioned to have become a modern economic center and a key growth driver in the Red River Delta, boasting comprehensive and modern infrastructure helping to boost trade, services, and cultural connectivity in the wider region.
It posted a record 10.19 per cent growth last year, according to the Nam Dinh Provincial People’s Committee.
