Ninh Binh province posts IIP increase of 11.48% in 8M

Northern Ninh Binh province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rose 11.48% in the first eight months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

Of which, the processing and manufacturing sector increased 12.60%; and electricity production and distribution 5.46%.

In August, the IIP surged 12.23% year-on-year.

Total industrial production value in the eight-month period was estimated at over VND65.3 trillion ($2.62 billion), up 8.6% year-on-year. Of which, the processing and manufacturing sector contributed more than VND63.75 trillion ($2.56 billion), the mining sector VND657.4 billion ($264 million) and electricity production and distribution VND776.1 billion ($312 million).
