The Nippon Express (Vietnam) Co., Ltd - a subsidiary of Nippon Express Holdings - announced on July 19 that it has opened its NX VSIP II Logistics Center in the southern province of Binh Duong and will begin operations on August 1.

The new logistic center is located at the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) II in Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city, in Binh Duong, with a total floor area of 14,511 sq m.

As Vietnam’s economy has grown, consumer spending has increased and new retailers have continued to come to the country. A steady stream of manufacturing and other companies has also poured into Vietnam, drawn by its abundant human resources.

Nippon Express’s newly-established NX VSIP II Logistics Center has easy access to Ho Chi Minh City and its thriving manufacturing sector. Its warehousing space will provide product storage, sorting, and distribution services for retailers and serve as a distribution hub for Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas, and also offer bonded inventory management services for export processing enterprises.

Nippon Express will utilize the NX VSIP II Logistics Center as a major logistics center for the northern Ho Chi Minh City area, and will support customers considering launching new businesses in Vietnam or expanding existing businesses by offering packaged services.

Nippon Express (Vietnam) will continue to expand its services to meet the diversifying logistics needs of customers in the rapidly-growing Vietnamese market, its parent company Nippon Express Holdings has said. The company’s previous expansion move was the launch of its NX Yen Phong Logistics Center in the northern province of Bac Ninh, near Hanoi.
