Over 80% of workers in Hanoi return to work after Tet
Number will continue to rise as more companies resume operations after the holiday.
More than 80 per cent of workers have returned to work in the capital after the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, according to the Hanoi Federation of Labor.
They work for enterprises that have now resumed operations.
The number is forecast to continue increasing as remaining companies reopen from February 19.
Chairman of the Federation Pham Quang Thanh said its members have encouraged their workers to return to work on time and ensure work quality from the very first working day. Companies are also encouraged to expand production to create more jobs.
The Federation plans to visit some companies to check on operations and employees’ work.
