PM chairs meeting with major enterprises on socio-economic growth solutions

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 21 chaired a meeting between Cabinet members and leaders of 12 leading private economic groups and enterprises on measures to boost the country's socio-economic development.

At the meeting, Cabinet members looked into businesses' ideas on difficulties facing them and proposals on solutions, while listening to their opinions on measures to implement national-scale projects and deal with major problems of the country.

PM Chinh stressed that the Government always accompanies businesses and protects their legitimate rights and interests.

He asked for relevant ministries, agencies and sectors to tackle difficulties facing businesses, noting that dealing with these difficulties means coping with those of the economy and the growth of businesses is the way to the country's development.

PM Chinh proposed businesses to take pioneering role in innovation and application of science and technology; joining value chains, production chains and global supply chains; developing infrastructure, particularly digital, transport, socio-economic and green infrastructure; and in human resources training, administrative reform and improvement of investment and business environment.

PM Chinh pledged that the Government will continue to build and perfect mechanisms for businesses' smooth operation, strengthen decentralization and delegation of power to ministries, sectors and localities, and drastically cut down administrative procedures.
