Quang Binh province posts positive economic growth in 8M

The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) of central Quang Binh province rose 7.6% year-on-year in the first eight months of 2024, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

Of which, the manufacturing and processing sector increased 9.2%; and electricity generation and distribution 5%.

The province’s total retail sales of consumer goods and services in the eight-month period reached over VND34.16 trillion ($1.366 billion), up 10.2% year-on-year.

The local tourism sector continued its growth in the eight-month period with total revenue of accommodation service was estimated at VND463 billion ($18.5 million), a year-on-year increase of 18.3%. Meanwhile, revenue from catering services reached over VND3 trillion ($122 million), up 11.2%.
