Quang Ninh expected to attract $1bln in FDI in Q1

Northern Quang Ninh province attracted eight FDI projects in January with total registered capital of $478 million.

On February 21, the province’s Management Board of Economic Zones granted investment licenses to two FDI projects with total investment capital of over $330 million.

They included a project of Gokin Solar from Hong Kong (China) building a photovoltaic cell technology complex with investment capital of nearly $275 million and a capacity of 1.4 billion products annually. The project is scheduled to be put into operation by October 2025.

Quang Ninh is therefore expected to attract $1 billion in FDI in the first quarter of this year and $3 billion for the year as a whole.

It is home to nearly 200 foreign-invested businesses from 20 countries and territories with total capital of nearly $14 billion.
