Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 500kV power transmission line starts operation
It is part of the 519-km 500kV transmission line project running from Quang Binh to Hung Yen provinces.
The Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 500kV power transmission line, circuit 3, was put into operation on August 19.
The 92-km line passes through the central provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa. Its construction began on January 18.
It is part of the 519-km 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project , running from Quang Trach district in central Quang Binh province to Pho Noi in northern Hung Yen province.
The project’s total investment capital estimated at VND23 trillion ($903 million).
The project is one of national key projects helping to ensure the energy security for the country and improving the transmission capacity of the national power system, ensuring power supply for the northern region during the peak period of 2024 and the following years.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has recently requested relevant ministries and agencies to speed up the construction of the project so as to inaugurate the entire network before September 2.
