Rubber exports earn $1.09 bln in 1H
Some 722,000 tons of rubber were exported.
Vietnam exported 722,000 tons of rubber in the first half of the year, earning $1.09 billion, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show.
The figures represent a year-on-year reduction of 5.8% in quantity but an increase of 4.5% in value.
In June alone, 150,000 tons of rubber were exported, worth $238 million. The average export price reached $1,586 per ton, up 19.6% year-on-year.
China remained the biggest rubber export market of Vietnam during the six-month period with 480,000 tons, worth $694 million, accounting for 66.5% of the country’s total export volume and 63.7% of the total value.
It was followed by India with nearly 57,000 tons of rubber, worth $91 million; and the Republic of Korea with over 24,000 tons, worth $39.5 million.
