Rubber exports hit $743 mln in 4M
Vietnam has exported rubber to over 80 countries and territories.
Vietnam exported 499,000 tons of rubber in the first four months of 2024, earning $743 million, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The figures represent a year-on-year increase of 6.4% in volume and 13.8% in value.
China remained Vietnam’s largest market with 384,000 tons, worth nearly $544 million. It was followed by India, with 38,500 tons, valued at approximately $60 million.
Meanwhile, the European Union (EU) is still an important and potential market, according to Mr. Vo Hoang An, General Secretary of the Vietnam Rubber Association.
Rubber exports to the EU ranked third in 2023 with a total volume of over 66,470 tons, worth nearly $94.3 million.
Vietnam has exported rubber to over 80 countries and territories.
Total rubber cultivation area in Vietnam is estimated at 918,000 ha. Of which, over 200,000 ha meet sustainable forest management standards from the Vietnam Forest Certification Scheme (VFCS) and the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) .
