Samsung Vietnam holds recruitment round
Over 2,400 candidates take part in tests and interviews.
Samsung Vietnam conducted a recruitment round in early March, with about 2,400 engineer and university graduate applicants.
The recruitment round consisted of two parts: the GSAT (Global Samsung Aptitude Test) and an interview, and was held in Hanoi and northern Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces.
A university graduate recruitment round has been held annually by Samsung Vietnam since 2011. The GSAT was delayed last year due to Covid-19.
Overcoming the difficulties from the pandemic and maintaining recruitment activities part of Samsung’s move towards the “new normal” and the government’s policy of “safe adaptation, flexibility, effective control of Covid-19”.
The GSAT is an important test in the recruitment process of all Samsung companies around the world and has three main contents: logical math ability, reasoning ability, and logical thinking ability
At the interview, candidates can reveal their ability, personality, and suitability.
“Samsung Vietnam will continuously recruit talented human resources to contribute to the company’s development in particular and Vietnam’s economic development and human resources development in general,” a representative from Samsung Vietnam said.
In 2021, despite the difficulties posed by the pandemic, Samsung Vietnam’s revenue grew by 14 per cent, to $74.2 billion. It currently operates six manufacturing plants in Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, and Thai Nguyen. The group has affirmed that Vietnam is a key global production base and will become a strategic center for R&D.
