Six national hospitals to be upgraded to international standards

Under the Grassroots Healthcare Network Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister at Decision No.1576/QD-TTg, dated December 16, The Government will give priority to invest in upgrading six hospitals to international levels.
They include Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Hue Central Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital, 108 Central Military Hospital, and 175 Military Hospital.
Priority will also be given to building a central-level hospital in the Central Highlands region, and national coordinating centers for human organ transplantation (both autograft and allograft) in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Regarding health promotion and disease prevention, investments will focus on establishing a disease control center at the central level and three others at regional level.
In the field of reproductive health, the Government plans for two new prenatal and newborn diagnostic centers in northern Thai Nguyen province and in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, while upgrading six existing centers in Hanoi capital, central Nghe An province, central Thua Thien - Hue province, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.
