Some 8,100 taels of SJC-branded gold bullion sold through auction
Gold aution aimed at stabilizing the market.
Eight bidders bought a total of 8,100 taels of SJC-branded gold bullion that the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) offered for sale at the auction held on May 14.
The central bank said that the highest winning price was VND87.73 million ($3,400) and the lowest, VND87.72 million per tael.
The total volume of gold bullions for the auction was 16,800 taels.
This is the sixth auction of SJC gold bullions organized by the SBV.
The previous auction sessions were held between April 22 and May 8.
The SBV has announced that it will continue to conduct gold bullion auction sessions to increase the supply to the market, ensuring a suitable volume and frequency in response to market demand.
