State Treasury raises $7.6 bln in government bonds in 7M

The issuance of government bonds on the primary market in July increased sharply by 23.9% compared to the previous month, reaching VND36.5 trillion ($1.44 billion), the highest level since February 2023, according to data from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

In July, the State Treasury organized 20 government bond auctions at the HNX. totaling VND64.5 trillion ($2.55 billion), up 50% against June. The majority of issuances were concentrated on 5-year, 10-year, 15-year, 20-year and 30-year tenures. The bid-winning rate was 56.6%.

In the first seven months of the year, capital raised in the government bond market through auctions at HNX reached over VND193 trillion ($7.64 billion), accounting for 48.3% of the yearly target.
