Techtronic Industries Vietnam (TTI Vietnam) was recently honored among the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2023” by HR Asia, a leading human resources magazine in the Asian region. Mrs. Tran Thuy Linh An, Vice President, Human Resources and Strategic Projects at TTI Vietnam, affirmed that it focuses on a sustainable people development strategy through its welfare policies and best career development opportunities for employees. “This award comes from five years of continuous effort in human resources investment and development in Vietnam,” she said.

The “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2023” award is based on an overall assessment of employee satisfaction through three factors: “Core”, “Self”, and “Group”. The “Core” factor refers to TTI’s corporate culture, leadership capabilities, and breakthrough initiatives. The “Self” factor reflects employee satisfaction, development motivation, and pride while working at TTI. Last but not least, the emotional connection among members within the company is measured under the “Group” factor. According to the survey results for TTI Vietnam, all three factors were rated highly by its employees, significantly surpassing the average market score.

Friendly and inclusive work environment

TTI Vietnam strives to provide its nearly 10,000 employees and workers with a stable and efficient working environment by implementing competitive salary and welfare programs. It also offers health and accident insurance programs to help employees be at ease in their work and personal lives. At TTI, opportunities for development are unlimited, as Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, an employee from TTI Vietnam, said. “My impression of TTI is that everyone in the company is friendly and always supports each other to improve everyone’s work,” he explained. “What makes me feel respected is the right to express ideas and personal opinions, and always receive thoughtful feedback from my manager.”

Furthermore, TTI emphasizes its core values and corporate culture, including “Doing the right thing”, “Treating each other with integrity and respect”, and “Giving back” through internal bonding activities as well as contributions to the community and society.

Building connections and sharing love with the community

Since its early days in Vietnam, TTI has proactively created meaningful community support activities and programs, allowing the company and employees to contribute to society together.

Specifically, in 2022, TTI staff joined hands to care for orphaned children, disabled people, and those in difficult circumstances living at Long Phuoc Dien Pagoda in southern Dong Nai province. It also collaborated with the Cu Chi District People’s Committee in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the “Gift Giving, Sharing Love” program, presenting 200 scholarships to students in challenging circumstances severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Most recently, TTI’s employees, together with 2,300 union members, employees, business owners, and trade union officials of units in Ho Chi Minh City, joined in a charity walk and contributed to the “Support Fund for City Workers” in response to a call from the management board and trade union of industrial and export processing zones in the southern city.

Alongside these activities, since 2020 TTI has been partnering with the NGO Habitat for Humanity to implement projects supporting the construction of housing and sanitation facilities, clean water supply, and disaster relief for people in various localities in Vietnam, such as Tien Giang and Kien Giang provinces in the Mekong Delta and Thai Nguyen province in the country’s north.

Developing and empowering talent

As a globally-oriented development organization, TTI has identified four key strategies to drive the company’s success: Powerful Brands, Innovative Products, Operational Excellence, and Exceptional People.

Furnishing employees with global working skills and continually enhancing their expertise and experiences are vital priorities at TTI.

In particular, Exceptional People is not only a critical strategy but also a guiding principle for all activities at TTI. This direction focuses on developing individuals and nurturing and retaining talent. For example, the 360-degree Feedback Process creates an open working culture that welcomes feedback for the organization’s continuous improvement. The Leadership Development Program, established 16 years ago, has been the foundation of TTI’s success and has been implemented in Vietnam since 2022.

Mrs. An added that TTI Vietnam is proud of and committed to empowering diversity, equity, and inclusion in human resources. As a multinational working environment, TTI Vietnam not only provides training opportunities but also excellent career experiences for employees both at home and abroad, contributing to promoting professional exchange and improving qualifications with its colleagues around the world. “Winning the prestigious ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia’ award from HR Asia at the first time participating reveals the value that TTI brings to its employees,” she emphasized. “This award will be motivation and inspiration for us to continue to thrive, build an excellent team, and contribute to the development of the community and society.”
