The Nam Giang - Dakta Ok international border gates were officially launched on August 14, opening up new opportunities for economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general and their respective provinces of Quang Nam and Sekong in particular.

The central region border gate will also help meet the rising demand for the import and export of goods. Immediately after the opening ceremony, vehicles of the Truong Hai International Logistics Limited Liability Company (THILOGI) transported goods through the cross-border route via the new international border gates. As one of the leading logistics companies in Vietnam’s central region, THILOGI is using all of its advantages, especially new routes from northeast Thailand and southern Lao provinces such as Pakse, Attapeu, and Sekong through the Nam Giang - Dakta Ok international border gates, to promote the development of road transport services, effectively exploiting multi-modal cargo resources from regions and countries in the East-West Economic Corridor.

Quang Nam province is also expected to complete upgrading the channel to Chu Lai Port in June 2022 to ensure the passage of large-tonnage ships. This will contribute to the development of transport by road and sea as well as the development of infrastructure to assist enterprises, including THILOGI, to develop logistics activities.

In order to meet cargo transportation requirements, THILOGI has also invested in more than 200 specialized vehicles to develop transport hubs in Vietnam's north and south and will open up maritime routes to major ports in China, South Korea, Japan, and India.
