Thua Thien-Hue becoming investment destination for global corporations
Central province has attracted major groups such as Carlsberg, Banyan Tree, Scavi, and Caribbean Cruise.
Central Thua Thien-Hue province has become an investment destination for a number of major global corporations in different fields, according to the provincial People’s Committee.
They include Carlsberg from Denmark, Banyan Tree from Singapore, HBI from the US, Scavi from France, Lucky Cement from Hong Kong (China), CP from Thailand, Caribbean Cruise from the US, Baosteel from China, and SBH from Spain.
The groups produce high added value products, contributing to improving the prestige of the province in the country and the world.
Thua Thien-Hue has so far attracted 126 FDI projects with total registered investment capital of $4.5 billion.
Investment attraction priorities are given to projects with high technology and high added value.
In 2023, revenue from FDI enterprises reached over $1.4 billion, contributing more than 10 per cent of the province’s GRDP.
It posted GRDP growth of 7.03 per cent last year, higher than the national average of 4.7-5.8 per cent.
