Trade ministry outlines solutions to boost exports, mitigate risks
The ministry will propose negotiations for new FTAs with markets that have significant potential, and boost exports to these markets.

In response to complex developments in the global market, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has announced a series of synchronized and effective solutions to mitigate risks and promote exports.
First, the MOIT will continue to support businesses and industry associations in utilizing their competitive advantages, the 17 existing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and nearly 70 bilateral cooperation mechanisms with other countries. This will enable them to effectively exploit key and traditional markets, develop small and niche markets, and explore new potential markets.
Second, the MOIT is committed to diversifying export markets by researching and disseminating information and market opportunities to businesses. It will propose negotiations for new FTAs with markets that have significant potential, strengthen trade promotion activities, and boost exports to these markets.
Third, in collaboration with relevant agencies and Vietnam Trade Offices abroad, the MOIT will enhance information gathering on the economic, political, and policy situations and fluctuations in the region and around the world. This will enable the ministry to promptly issue warnings to the business community and advise the Government on appropriate policy responses.
Fourth, the MOIT will continue to work with other ministries and agencies to promote the implementation of the Government's Project on "Strengthening State Management on Anti-Circumvention of Trade Remedies and Origin Fraud". This initiative aims to combat origin fraud and illegal transshipment, with strict enforcement of violations.
Fifth, the ministry will implement business support activities that are tailored to the specific needs of each market and industry.
Sixth, there will be a focus on increasing the application of e-commerce in cross-border goods export activities.
Seventh, the MOIT will continue to strongly implement the campaign "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods," both for Vietnamese people in the country and for overseas Vietnamese.
