Vietnam a leader in blockchain
Analysts and business insiders believe that Vietnam’s blockchain sector has posted many milestones and is now among the global leaders.
Rather than being left behind, as is often the case with other technological trends, Vietnam is actually leading in the blockchain sector, the Binance Blockchain Week, which took place from March 27 to 31 in Dubai, heard.
There are many blockchain businesses from Vietnam that have marked their place on the global blockchain map.
Axie Infinity, a blockchain game published by Sky Mavis, has become a global technology phenomenon in attracting hundreds of thousands of gamers from all over the world. As of March 29, it had a market capitalization of about $4 billion, according to Coinmarketcap.com.
Other Vietnamese companies such as Thetan Arena, Coin98, and Elemon have also made a strong impression and been warmly welcomed by the international blockchain developer community.
Evaluating the development of Vietnam’s blockchain sector, Ms. Lynn Hoang, a representative from Binance in Southeast Asia, said the country ranks in the top 10 Binance markets across many product lines. The country’s blockchain sector saw many achievements in 2021, with a number of projects built by Vietnamese people becoming global symbols.
Blockchain is not only well received by the State and businesses but also by non-technical users like artists as well as major brands, Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT Japan and COO of Fsoft, told the gathering.
Ms. Dung Nguyen, a senior expert in the research and development of innovation ecosystems at the Ministry of Planning and Investment, said the Vietnamese Government prioritizes the development of new technologies and identifies these as potential spearheads of economic development in the future. The government is trying to accelerate the development of blockchain but needs more time to train human resources and create new policies and attract capital.
