Vietnam Airlines & Singapore Tourism Board come together to grow tourism to Singapore
Two team up to boost Vietnamese travel to Singapore with the national flag carrier.

Vietnam Airlines and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have officially signed a cooperative agreement for a period of two years, from 2023 to 2025. This will create opportunities to stimulate tourism, considering the robust recovery of outbound travel in Vietnam, and position Singapore as a popular destination for both leisure and business travel.
As part of the cooperative endeavor, the two parties will work together to conduct marketing campaigns to promote novel and unique travel experiences in Singapore and position Vietnam Airlines as the preferred choice for Vietnamese travelers.
Vietnam is one of Singapore’s top 10 important tourism source markets, with over 280,000 visitors in the first seven months of 2023, representing a 123 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Singapore is also a strategically important market for Vietnam Airlines in the Southeast Asian region.
“Beyond representing our nation and culture as we take flight into the world, the image of Vietnam Airlines is closely associated with its role in economic and social development, particularly in the tourism sector,” said Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vietnam Airlines. “We hope that the cooperation with the STB will serve as a solid foundation for us to advance into deeper and broader partnerships in the future, strongly promoting the recovery goals of the tourism industries of both countries, as well as the friendly relations between Vietnam and Singapore. With its extensive flight network, Vietnam Airlines can contribute to enhancing connectivity between ASEAN countries and key markets worldwide, offering more diverse choices for passengers.”
“We are delighted to be the first National Tourism Board to sign a cooperative agreement with Vietnam Airlines, an important partner in the Southeast Asian region,” said Ms. Melissa Ow, Chief Executive of the STB. “Vietnam is currently an important tourism market for Singapore and holds strong growth potential in the future. Through this cooperation, we aim to elevate Singapore’s attractiveness as a favored destination for Vietnamese travelers, enabling them to explore a range of diverse, internationally-acclaimed experiences and events in Singapore.”
