Vietnam Airlines targets before-tax profit of $175 mln in 2024
The national flag carrier expected to transport 22.6 million passengers and 273,000 tons of cargo this year.
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has set a target of before-tax consolidated of more than VND4.5 trillion ($175 million) in 2024, according an announcement by the group’s CEO Le Hong Ha on June 21.
Its total consolidated revenue this year is expected to reach VND105.9 trillion ($4.16 billion), a year-on-year rise of 113.6%.
It is targeted that total 22.64 million passengers will be served by the carrier this year, up 7.6% year-on-year, including 7.64 million foreign passengers.
Meanwhile, about 273,000 tons of cargo will be transported by the airline in 2024, surging 121.6% compared to last year.
In 2023, Vietnam Airlines transported 24.1 million passengers and 230,000 tons of cargo. Total consolidated revenue reached VND93,265 ($3.66 billion).
