The Vietnam-Austria High-Tech Cooperation and Innovation Forum, bringing together leading corporations from both nations in artificial intelligence (AI), health technology, semiconductors, and cybersecurity, is set to take place in Vienna, Austria, on May 16.

According to the National Innovation Center (NIC), Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung will attend the event and deliver an online keynote address.

The forum is designed as an open space for experts and businesses from Vietnam and Austria to exchange knowledge, share strengths, and collaborate in technology, innovation, and digital transformation. A key objective is to support Vietnam’s vision of becoming a high-income developed country by 2045.

The event will feature major tech industry names from both countries, including UNIDO, TTTech, Infineon Technologies Austria, Siconnex, and Dynatrace. Representing Vietnam will be FPT, VNPT, Sovico, Genetica, and other leading enterprises.

Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Austria, emphasized that this will be the first forum of its kind organized in Europe, aiming to promote information exchange, update policies, and strengthen the science, technology, and innovation ecosystems in both nations. The forum also serves as a platform for networking, paving the way for concrete agreements and expanded cooperation.

Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of NIC, highlighted the vast potential for Vietnam-Austria cooperation, particularly in technology transfer and the development of high-quality human resources, creating added value for both economies.
