Vietnam-China border trade activities busy since early year

Import-export revenue through border gates increased significantly.

Border trade activities between Vietnam and China have been busy since the beginning of 2025.

According to the management board of the Dong Dang-Lang Son economic zone, the first two months of the year saw the number of trucks transporting agricultural goods for exports to China through  border gates in the northern mountainous province of Lang Son reached 200 each day.

Meanwhile, in northern mountainous Lao Cai province, the total import and export revenue via its border gates stood at nearly $135 million, including over $50.6 million from exports. On a daily average, there were about 100 trucks carrying exports and about 290 trucks carrying imports.

In northern Quang Ninh province, which borders China, total export and import revenue through its border gates amounted to $493.56 million, a year-on-year increase of 24%.
