Vietnam expects Japanese businesses and investors to promote investing in fields of priority, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told a dialogue session on November 24 with leading Japanese investors within the framework of his official visit to Japan.

It hopes that businesses and investors with leading technology and techniques will pay more attention to Vietnam. It is also necessary to promote economic restructuring associated with productivity, quality, efficiency, competitiveness, and rapid and sustainable development to give benefits to investors and partners as well as Vietnamese citizens.

Vietnam’s orientation is to prioritize green development, climate change response, and digital transformation. It will continue to implement three strategic breakthroughs: institutional breakthroughs associated with administrative reform and reducing costs for individuals and businesses; training high-quality human resources; and infrastructure construction, such as traffic, digital infrastructure, and climate change adaptation. The Prime Minister noted that these are strengths of Japanese investors, and good opportunities await those who understand and have had success in Vietnam.

He also affirmed that the government will continue to improve the business and investment environment and create favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Japanese investors, to conduct investment in the time to come.
