Vietnam supports WTO's reform initiatives and efforts: Minister

Vietnam commits to support efforts and initiatives of the World Trade Organization (WTO) to improve its operation efficiency, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien said while addressing the WTO 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13) which opened in Abu Dhabi on February 26-29.
He spoke highly of the WTO’s role in guiding and promoting trade liberalization effectively.
During the Cairns Group Ministerial Meeting, Mr. Dien affirmed Vietnam’s support for new initiatives and efforts to step up agriculture negotiations for common benefits.
Vietnam will continue working closely with other members of the Cairns Group to achieve specific outcomes, contributing to promoting agricultural trade liberalization on the basis of equal, fair and transparent competition, he said.
