Vietnam to provide eSports training
Global eSports market was valued at over $1.38 billion in 2022 and is forecast to grow to $1.87 billion by 2025.
eSports training will be available in Vietnam following the signing of an MoU between the University of Technology and Management (UTM) and Pearson UK on November 14.
UTM will be the first institution in Vietnam offering BTEC (Business & Technology Education Council) courses on eSports provided by Pearson UK. BTEC courses focus on skills-based learning and are designed around themed units.
As such, trainees will study a range of subjects, such as eSports skills, strategies, and analysis; games design; producing an eSports brand; eSports events; and live-streamed broadcasting, among others.
Esports is an industry with substantial potential and is rapidly evolving worldwide. In Vietnam, however, human sources for the industry are yet to receive any professional training. Therefore, it is necessary to offer training courses to help Vietnam catch up with global in eSports development.
